HCCO offers a variety of financial assistance.
Utility Assistance
Must provide:
Henderson County Identification
Henderson County utility bill
Proof of Income
Rent Assistance
Rent Assistance is currently unavailable.
(As of June 2026)
HCCO can provide $150 in a 24 month period.
Emergency Fuel Assistance
For out of town doctor appointments only
Must provide:
Henderson County Identification
Proof of out of town doctor appointment
Medication Assistance
Please Note: Pain or anxiety medications are ineligible for assistance.

Proof of prescription
Clients should request Financial Assistance in person during regular Food Pantry business hours.

Bank On Henderson Financial Literacy Class
This class is a requirement for all HCCO financial assistance.
This class will help give you tools needed to manage your finances and save for the future.
Upon completion, you will be given a certificate that remains in effect for one calendar year from the date of class completion.
Join us, and you will learn how to:
Stay on a budget
Manage a checking account
Improve your credit rating
Pay off debt
Save for the future
